Bio:
Amadora is an abstract and commission artist living and working in Sheffield, who creates bold and colourful mixed media pieces of art. Her expressive abstract style uses acrylic, spray paint and oil pastels to create layered and textured paintings, inspired by the external energy and vibrancy of the world around us. Alongside this external inspiration, Amadora also explores the inner workings of thoughts and emotions through her work, and aims to translate the complexities and dynamic nature of our inner world through colour.
However, not all of her work lies within this abstract style, as she also enjoys creating more realistic paintings. In particular capturing night time city scenes from around Sheffield which can be found in the City Nights Fine Art Print Collection. Amadora’s work consists of these two styles as she loves the contrast of freedom and expression with abstract pieces, against the detail and narrative nature of realism.
Amadora’s artistic journey began in lockdown 2020, where she started painting for the first time since school and began creating artwork for friends and family. Since then, she has created collections of original work which have been included in exhibitions, The Holy Art Fair in London, featured in House & Garden magazines, and stocked in local businesses around Sheffield.
Alongside creating her own collections of work, Amadora also works on commission, creating bespoke original artwork which is tailored to her clients home. For more information on bespoke artwork and to start your commission journey, please see the commissions page in the menu.
